A tutor, not an answer key

Every response follows the same rule: guide, don't give. Recitely reads back the problem it found first — "Here's what I'm reading, is that right?" — then offers the next small step instead of the finish line. Ask for the answer outright in chat and it pushes back every time, steering you toward finding it yourself instead of giving in.

Stuck for a while? It gets more explicit the more you ask for help. And if you'd rather skip straight to the finish line, a dedicated "Reveal answer" button is always available too — it shows the full worked solution, every step included, not just the number at the end. That's a separate, deliberate choice you make by pressing it, not something the chat will talk itself into.

Multiple choice works the same way: Recitely will evaluate your reasoning and help you narrow it down, but it never names or confirms which lettered option is correct — that part's still on you.

Stuck on the concept, not just the problem?

Tap "Brief overview" to pause your specific problem without losing your place. Recitely gives a quick, plain-language refresher on the underlying method, then makes up one new example and fully solves it — showing every step, since it's a practice problem, not yours. A second example follows with a few values faded into blanks for you to fill in and check, before you head back to your real problem exactly where you left off.

Every computed result the AI states along the way — in a lesson or a regular hint — gets silently double-checked against SymPy, a real symbolic math engine running entirely on your device. If it disagrees, Recitely quietly asks the AI to correct itself before you ever see it.
